Thank You Letter from 28. Jun President to Members, Donors, Volunteers and Church

Dear members, donors and supporters of 28. Jun,

As we have now done the impossible by having delivered or shipped most of the aid for the Serbian floods, I would finally like to take a moment to express my personal gratitude to all those who made this happen.

Firstly, I want to thank our volunteers and donors, without your hard work and financial backing none of this would have come to fruition. I am thankful for every donation you have entrusted our organization with and for all those who took time off their job and worked tirelessly to help our people in a time of need, you have my eternal gratitude. Truck drivers, storage facility owners, parents who allowed their children to prioritize philanthropy over their studies, you are the ones who made this happen. Relja Illic, from the UK, your mother passed away the night of the floods and that morning you were already packing canned food for flood areas. Your selflessness was my inspiration and you made your mom proud.

Secondly, I want to thank the Serbian Orthodox Church for allowing us to use their space to collect material donations. Serbian Churches and halls depend on money from renting their facilities to survive and every Church who enabled us to use their space sacrificed for their people at this time of need. I want to kiss the hand of every priest who despite their age worked along side our volunteers to load these containers and made sure they were never hungry or thirsty during grueling 14 hour days of packing boxes. Bishop Longin from the US and Bishop George from Canada, despite my sometimes childishly critical stance on some Church matters, you opened your doors to our members and helped us complete this humanitarian mission. I am humbled by your generosity and wisdom.

Lastly, I want to thank all our 28. Jun members and coordinators all across the world who came together in this time of need to help our brothers and sisters back home. We sometimes have the most thankless job but we all know our reward is seeing the help get to people who need it. You all played a big role in organizing and leading our people to finally unite in a positive way. I am infinitely thankful: Milo Dubak, Juliana Pandurevic, Aleksandra Guculj, Sasa Gulculj, Jovan Subotic, Branka Celap, Svetlana Radmanovic, Marko Racic, Marija Oluic, Dusan Matic, Jovana Magazin, Julijana Stefanovic, Janja Milutinovic, Tijana Tomic, Olgica Ravasi, Jonathan Lee, Amanda Andjelkov, Stefan Popovic, Marko Petrovic, Filip Gold, Branislav Basaric, Nikola Lazovic, Tomo Grce, Danilo Miric, Aleksandar Rakic, Sasa Jovicic, Aleksandar Ucur, Dobrila Vitosevic, Nikola Peric, Marko Karac, Dejan Eskic, Natasa Jelenic, Milesa Cirovic, Milka Randjelvic, Dusan Kuzmanovic, Marko Ivanovic, Milos Dubak, Djordje Lucic, Ivan Mihajlvic, Petar Grabez, Boban Trajcevski, Vanja Petrovic, Jovana Zelenbaba, Irena Milas, Djordje Savanovic, Kosovka Spreco, Uros Maksimovic, Dijana Loncar, Jelena Vujovic, Nenad Arcaba, Slobodan Jokic, Teodora Radisic, Julia Kovacevic, Ivana Karisik, Radovan Licina, Neven Vujinovic, Ogi Oroz, Daniela Lazarevic, Dusanka Barisic, Anica Pejanovic, Juliana Milenkovic, Nikola Gligorevic, Lazar Tomovic, Marina Kuzmanovic, Neda Milesic, Sasa Dodos, Maja Dzamba + so many more...

I also want to thank the Red Cross, both in Serbia and abroad for accepting and distributing our aid and for being accessible throughout the entire disaster and keeping us up to date on which sort of aid was needed and how urgently. This helped us determine what to send by plane and what by boat. I want to thank the Serbian embassies and consulates as well as the Serbian government back home who helped guide our youth organization in this time of distress and swiftly provided all information and clearances we needed to deliver this aid. I want to thank the Serbian and international media for covering our work and documenting this project every step of the way to ensure the aid gets to the people who need it most.

To further express my gratitude and the gratitude of our organization we will take the following steps:

- 28. Jun will hold complimentary BBQs all over the world to thank all our volunteers and I will try my very best to be at as many of these as possible to personally thank everyone who helped. I will personally write a thank you letter to every donor and include a 28. Jun bracelet as a humble sign of our appreciation.

- 28. Jun will make a donation to 8 Serbian monasteries, one each in Serbia, Republika Srpska, Kosovo i Metohija, Krajina, Montenegro, America, Canada and Australia. Additionally our members will hold youth events in every city across the world where there is a Serbian community and will give a part of the proceeds to help with the maintenance of their local Churches.

- 28. Jun will evolve from having regional coordinators to a board of directors who will vote on all major decisions. To further solidify public trust, in addition to being the only Serbian organization whose members don't have a salary, we will make our finances fully transparent to the public within 2 weeks. This is in accordance with the date our taxes are filed with the government. Due to the speed at which the organization grew it is easy to forget that 28. Jun was only incorporated as a non-profit on July 31, 2012.

Again I thank you all from the bottom of my heart,

Filip Filipi - President, 28. Jun

PS - I promise to clean up my act on social media, it's time to grow up :(

Dragi članovi, donatori i simpatizeri 28.Juna,

Svi ste odigrali veliku ulogu u organizovanju i konačnom ujedinjavanju svih naših ljudi. Moju beskrajnu zahvalnost zaslužili su: Milo Dubak, Juliana Pandurević, Marija Oluić Aleksandra Guculj, Saša Gulculj, Jovan Subotić, Branka Celap, Svetlana Radmanović, Marko Racić, , Dušan Matić, Jovana Magazin, Julijana Stefanović, Janja Milutinović, Tijana Tomić, Olgica Ravasi, Jonathan Lee, Amanda Anđelkov, Stefan Popović, Marko Petrović, Filip Gold, Branislav Basarić, Nikola Lazović, Tomo Grce, Danilo Mirić, Aleksandar Rakić, Saša Jovičić, Aleksandar Učur, Dobrila Vitošević, Nikola Perić, Marko Karac, Dejan Eskić, Nataša Jelenić, Milesa Cirović, Milka Ranđelović, Dušan Kuzmanović, Marko Ivanović, Miloš Dubak, Đorđe Lučić, Ivan Mihajlović, Petar Grabež, Boban Trajčevski, Vanja Petrović, Jovana Zelenbaba, Irena Milas, Đorđe Savanović, Kosovka Sprečo, Uroš Maksimović, Dijana Lončar, Jelena Vujović, Nenad Arcaba, Slobodan Jokić, Teodora Radišić, Julia Kovačević, Ivana Karisik, Radovan Licina, Neven Vujinović, Ogi Oroz, Danijela Lazarević, Dušanka Barišić, Anica Pejanović, Julijana Milenković, Nikola Gligorević, Lazar Tomović, Marina Kuzmanovič, Neda Milešić, Saša Dodoš, Maja Džamba i mnogi, mnogi drugi…

Kako bih dodatno izrazio svoju zahvalnost i zahvalnost naše organizacije preduzećemo sledeće korake:
