Join us for a humanitarian group show in which all proceeds will go toward flood relief efforts in Serbia and the Balkans. In partnership with the Red Cross, we seek to assist in repairing the damage caused by the most severe flooding in the Balkans in the last 200 years.
This is the first time that Eastern European Artists have joined together for a group show in Toronto; this event acts as a catalyst to unite the Eastern European community through Art, and Humanitarianism. The exhibit will explore Slavic identity though Contemporary and Modernist Art. The show will feature works by prominent artists such as Endre Szasz, Vladimir Kato, Devon Marinac, Michael Ouzikov, Janus De Rolas and Gabor Mezei. Guests will be treated hors d'oeuvres from Toronto's newest Balkan restaurant, Rakia Bar as well as traditional Balkan music by Toronto's Trio Skadarlija.
The entire proceeds of the tickets to this event, including the Organizer’s portion of the Art sales, will be donated to the Red Cross in association with 28 Jun.
This exhibit is Curated by Mia Mirana Raicevic, a Serbian Canadian who has been active in the Toronto Arts community for almost a decade. She has organized dozens of Art exhibits though out the years, both locally and internationally. This is the first time she has had the honor of working with exclusively Eastern European Artists.

This past May, the Balkan region was hit with the worst flooding in over 100 years. In Serbia, it has caused an estimated 4 billion dollars in damage and has forced over 30,000 victims to evacuate their homes. Please join the Serbian Young Professionals and the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation for an evening of cultural performances, prominent guest speakers and Silent Auction, all in an effort to unite the Toronto diaspora and its friends to help increase awareness and support victims of this once-in-a-century disaster.
Our goal, with your help, is to raise $25,000 for flood relief. The Charity Auction and Gala will be taking place on Saturday August 23rd, 2014 at the historic and majestic Strachan Hall, Trinity College.
Over the years, Ana and Vlade Divac have raised over 20 million dollars through philanthropic efforts, providing aid to civilians, especially refugees, with special emphasis on resolving their housing issues. The Foundation envisions Serbia as a society in which citizens take responsibility and understand the power of unity in solving problems that arise.
